Mayor Murtaza Wahab said on Sunday that Karachi’s budget prioritises the problems faced by residents and that development work in the city will continue. Speaking at the Council Hall, he said construction and rehabilitation work on roads, bridges and flyovers will go on.
Wahab said every effort has been made to serve the city in the best possible way within the available resources. He also said there is a perception that no development work is carried out in Karachi, but more than 3.1 million square feet of road patchwork has been completed across the city.
Flyovers and roads listed as completed
The Karachi mayor said the construction and rehabilitation of Nursery Flyover, Jinnah Bridge and Shaheed-e-Millat Road have been completed. He added that Azeempura Flyover was completed in 93 days.
