K-Electric has started additional load-shedding at night as well in various areas of Karachi. The company says this measure is being taken in areas where, according to it, electricity theft and power shortages are present.
Which areas are experiencing additional load-shedding at night?
According to the report, an additional two to three hours of load-shedding is being carried out at night, increasing difficulties for residents. Additional load-shedding at night is ongoing in New Karachi, Shahnawaz Bhutto Colony and Manghopir.
Additional power cuts at night have also started in Lyari, Pak Colony, Jacob Lines and Lasbela. Similarly, residents of Essa Nagri, Khokhrapar and Shah Faisal Manzoor Colony are also affected by the additional load-shedding.

- Akhtar Colony, Chinser Goth, Bhangu ria Goth, Korangi, Orangi Town, Qasba Colony, Surjani Town, Ahsanabad, Quetta Town, Kathore, Gadap, Scheme 33, Abul Hasan Isphahani Road, Safoora Goth, Martin Quarters, Banaras, Liaquatabad, Old Sabzi Mandi, Old City Area, Gharibabad, Musa Colony and North Karachi.
K-Electric claims that power is also being cut at night in areas with electricity theft and high losses. According to the report, load-shedding has also started in areas that were load-shedding-free.
